Get along to the UOW blogging forum on 20th march…

We are delighted to invite you to a forum – “Blogging@UOW” to be held at 12:30 on March 20th in building 6, room 105.

Why?
For the past 18 months The University of Wollongong has supported the use of a hosted Wordpress blogging tool.
Blogs (short for web + log) have assisted teachers, researchers and general staff alike to solve some of their communication needs.
This forum will be your opportunity to come along and see what other university staff and students have been doing with their blogs.

What?
A free lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the one hour forum. There is no need to RSVP. To see an example of a UOW blog (and a 1.5 minute light-hearted movie about the Blogging Forum) go to
http://blogs.uow.edu.au/techinmyday

The speakers at the Forum include:
- Ronnie Burt, Edublogs (from the USA via video-conference) – The what and why of blogging, cases from other universities, and an international perspective.
- Emily Purser, Lecturer – Blogging with Postgraduate Students.
- Richard Dwight, Researcher – Use of blogging for research and research groups.

If you have question or require further information please direct enquires to crystalm@uow.edu.au.
