5 Tips for effective email

In order to reduce the time spent on email and make them more effective there are a number of tips out there....here are 5 to get you started

1. Subject Lines are Headlines

Grabs attention, and it tells you what the email is about
eg Subject: Reminder of 10am Meeting Sched. 10/05 on PASS Process.

2. Make One Point per Email

3. Specify the Response You Want

4. Using EOM Headlines

eg Subject: 10/5 Meeting, 10am, Conf. Rm. A, On PASS Procedure EOM

This indicates that the message is contained in the short subject

5. Stop, do you need to email or can you just walk over and speak to the person?
