mLearning Case Study: Learning in the Outback

Learning in the Outback

By Westley on Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Mobile Learning is more than learning with or on mobile devices. It is also the ability to learn anywhere anytime. This amazing experience has students and teachers from MLC School inBurwood, Sydney getting ourt of their comfort zones and venturing into the outback to discover more about themselves and the incredible outback community of Broken Hill.

Students use Mobile phones, laptops, iPads, twitter and more to stay connected to their learning and their parents back home. Parents and teachers provide feedback via facebook, online discussions and galleries.

The journey is much more than a physical one. It is transformative. MLC School challenges students to 'dare to be more', and the Broken Hill experience enables students to answer the challenge.
